Arthur is a survivor of the Battle of Crete ( May – June 1941), believed now to be the only one. Survived four years in a German prisoner of war camp. In his seventies he competed in the Avon Descent, did a motorbike trip around Australia. Writing and reciting verse most of his adult life, he’s been a long time member of the WA Bush Poets and Yarnspinners and a regular at the Peninsula Folk Club until it’s demise.
