Camping essentials

In 2010 we were presented with the Greener Festival Award. This is an international recognition of quality improvement in sustainability. Our goal is to achieve the Improved Greener Festival Award by 2012.

Respect the Village – Leave No Trace

Fairbridge Festival, Keep Australia Beautiful WA, Fairbridge Village and the Alcoa Farm Manager are working together to eradicate the large amount of rubbish left in the camping areas and festival precinct. This means ALL rubbish and belongings including packaging, gas bottles, tents, chairs, sleeping bags and tables. Particularly important are the camping areas where the paddocks are used for grazing by animals. The smallest item, such as a bottle top, can cause internal injuries to livestock and native fauna.

Please respect our historical festival site and LEAVE NO TRACE. Please use the recycling bins provided for glass, aluminium cans and flat packed cardboard. Better still, please remove all outside packaging from grocery and new camping items BEFORE you leave home so you don’t have so many trips to the recycling stations. Please put non-recyclable rubbish in the bins provided or take it home with you. Together we can minimise our impact on this beautiful place, create a cleaner and greener festival and sleep better, knowing the animals won’t be harmed by our actions. Thank you.
