A greener festival : Sustainability

Sustainability

… and make Fairbridge a greener festival!

You may have heard we won the Greener Festival Award in 2010. While this is a great start there’s still lots to do to make our festival even more sustainable and this means there’s heaps that you, the festival goer can do to help us make our green dream a reality. In particular this year we are concentrating on waste – we don’t want any!

We want everything recyclable and recycled, we want to leave this beautiful historic village as we found it – and without our crew needing to spend days picking up what’s been left behind.

Most importantly we want the animals which live in the camping fields for the rest of the year to be safe – even a bottle top can harm them. So please always keep in mind our new slogan: “Respect the Village – Leave no trace”. Please put your rubbish in the appropriate bins – and never on the ground!

Here’s a few things you can do to help Shout! Sustainability

  • Produce no waste
  • Use resource efficient transport
  • Go for 100% renewable energy
  • Create an inclusive and respectful event
  • Work with sustainable stakeholders
  • Drive social change
