Welcome to Steve and Ros Barnes' Music Web Pages

Australian folk/acoustic duo Steve and Ros Barnes combine powerhouse vocals with imaginative, distinctive songwriting and deft guitar accompaniment.

They performing as a duo and as part of the band Five Point Turn. They have performed at most of the major Australian folk-roots music estivals including the National Folk Festival, Port Fairy, Woodford/Maleny and WA’s Fairbridge. They have also made a number of festival and club appearances in England. Their music has been described as “folk/ acoustic/ jazz with Irish and country leanings”.

Steve's songs have been recorded by a number of internationally-acclaimed artists including Sean Keane, Geraldine and Danny Doyle and Judy Small.

Their 2005 CD NAUTILUS, produced by Julie Matthews and Chris While, and featuring Chris and Julie along with Fairport Convention members Chris Leslie and Gerry Conway, is now available. More...
